Camilo Surez is a Graphic Designer and Illustrator. He was born in Colombia and graduated from Tadeo Lozano University in 2005. Son of an architect and an interior designer, he has always had close contact with arts and design. Movies, comics, music and cartoons have been his most important source of inspiration, deeply influenced by the work of artists such as Ashley Wood, Simon Bisley, Gwar, Rob Zombie and Mike Mignola. He found in the illustration a way to converge all those worlds. Camilo is currently working on challenging political discourse and making use of satirical illustrations and animations as art mediums. By the mix of digital software and traditional technics, Camilo creates exaggerated animalistic characters living adverse situations that play on the perception of good and evil, beauty and horror challenging accepted notions.
