Charlotte Hawke: Mixed Media Artist and Forest Therapy Practitioner

Charlotte Hawke is a multi-disciplinary artist, lecturer, and certified Forest Therapy Practitioner based in Bristol. Her professional practice is deeply rooted in the intersection of arts and health, where she facilitates workshops that combine creative play with nature connection. As a visual artist, Charlotte Hawke works across drawing, writing, and printmaking, often employing meditative and unconventional processes to explore themes of resilience and mindfulness. Her poems and writing has been featured in publications such as 'Born in Lockdown' and 'Rainbow Punch!', showcasing her skills in both poetry and illustration. In addition to her personal art practice, she has extensive experience as an educator, having taught at institutions such as Hauser & Wirth Somerset, Weston College, and Swindon College. Through her qualified Forest Therapy sessions, she promotes the Japanese practice of shinrin yoku (forest bathing) to reduce stress and enhance creativity. Charlotte Hawke aims to help individuals develop a 'nature toolkit' to foster a slower and more connected way of life, leveraging the healing effects of wooded environments and artistic flow. Based in the South West of England, she continues to lead community art projects and collaborative zine initiatives that emphasize social impact and personal wellbeing. Her sessions are designed to set participants up to feel less stressed and more creative, making art and the outdoors accessible to all ages and backgrounds.
