Deranged Sign Product Design and Metalware Production Studio
Deranged Sign is a dynamic design studio based in Hong Kong that bridges the gap between unconventional creative ideas and functional daily enjoyment. The studio specializes in three core areas: Product Design, Graphic Design, and Metalware Production. Within product design, Deranged Sign focuses on creating innovative houseware and tableware, particularly utilizing sheet metal. Their notable Fragments project features modern, elegant stainless steel flasks designed as sculptural art blocks using SUS316 stainless steel for acid and corrosion resistance. The studio’s graphic design services encompass visual communication and problem-solving through typography and illustration, covering logos, posters, leaflets, and packaging. In collaboration with an experienced metalworking manufacturer in China, Deranged Sign offers professional technical advice and manufacturing feasibility, guiding projects from development and prototyping to mass production. The team, including designer Irene Yeung, project manager Coco Huang, engineer James Su, and operation manager Ken Liu, emphasizes precise metalworking techniques. By integrating branding and market planning with technical engineering, Deranged Sign delivers unique products that reflect a mirror finish and modern aesthetic. Their goal is to integrate unconventional ideas into the objects used for daily life enjoyment.
