David George's creative work

David George: Photographer and Visual Artist

My photography is a practice rooted in the observed authenticity of everyday life. Based in Cornwall, my perspective is uniquely shaped by a career that moves between the creative industries and the classroom—from my time as a secondary school teacher of ICT and Creative Media to my work teaching digital skills & photography in further education. This journey has honed my ability to communicate visual ideas with clarity and purpose. I now channel this focused perspective into two parallel paths. Commercially, I collaborate with the world's leading stock photography agencies, supplying resonant, narrative-driven imagery to a global market. My work is downloaded by creatives worldwide, serving brands, publications, and designers who seek that blend of genuine emotion and professional composition. It is a discipline in understanding what stories need to be told and translating them into universally powerful visuals. Alongside this, I dedicate myself to sustained, personal investigations like 'The Water People Project' and 'The Two Bridges Project.' These long-term studies allow me to delve deeper into themes of place, connection, and the unscripted moment that first draws my eye. Whether through a single commercial frame destined for international use or a long-form personal study, my work is a continuous commitment to storytelling that is both genuine and compelling.
