Estin Liew – Photography and Visual Storytelling Portfolio

My work leans toward a soft, documentary sensibility, shaped by an interest in presence, memory, and the poetry of everyday life. I’m drawn to scenes that feel honest and unforced, whether I’m working on personal projects, creative assignments, or editorial work. I approach each image with a balance of intuition and care, allowing cinematic composition to coexist with authenticity and emotional clarity. Alongside photography, I’ve also worked within film art departments and supported event productions, experiences that have deepened my understanding of visual storytelling and how atmospheres are built behind the scenes. These influences naturally slip into my practice through attention to texture, space, and quiet narrative cues. I move between analogue and digital formats and follow an intuitive, imperfect process that leaves room for discovery. I also explore ceramics and visual design, which influence the textures and sensibilities in my storytelling. More than anything, my practice is about noticing. I hope my images invite viewers to pause, reflect, feel, and to find something of your own within the everyday scenes I photograph.
