Font-e.org: residency programs for contemporary artists

Founded in 2013, FONTE is an artist-run space dedicated to the maintenance of permanent studios and the development of residency programs, as well as the provision of temporary housing and studio spaces for local and international artists. These activities extend into a recurring, free, and publicly accessible program comprising talks, workshops, performances, screenings, and open studios. Since its founding, FONTE has hosted more than 40 artists, including Adrin Balseca (Ecuador), Gabrielle Goliath (South Africa), Nani Lamarque (Argentina), Pilar Quinteros (Chile), Sandra Gamarra (Peru), as well as Brazilian artists Ana Pi, Rodrigo Braga, and Antonio Sobral. FONTE has also established institutional partnerships with organizations such as Associao Cultural Videobrasil, Paco das Artes, and Instituto Tomie Ohtake, among others.
