Haerri Kim's creative work

Haerri Kim is a visual artist and a graphic designer based in Seoul and London.

Haerri Kim is a visual artist and graphic designer based in Seoul and London. Born in 1996 in South Korea, she spent her childhood moving between the United States and Canada. Her creative practice primarily focuses on printmaking and painting, a direction shaped by her studies at Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea. She holds a BFA in Fine Arts and Printmaking and currently resides in London, where she is pursuing an MA in Printmaking at UAL’s Camberwell College of Arts. Kim’s artistic practice explores the complexities of interpersonal relationships, with a particular focus on the ambivalence that can arise within them. Her art and research are informed by feminist perspectives and address the conflicting emotions often experienced by female victims of abuse in relation to their perpetrators. Her work examines the coexistence of compassion and resentment toward former partners or family members. Drawing on her background in graphic design, Kim incorporates digital art and animation to articulate the narratives underlying these emotional tensions. Kim’s artworks have primarily been presented through solo exhibitions, each shaped by distinct thematic concerns. In 2025, she presented the solo exhibition Dual Citizenship at SpaceUooyoung. She has also participated in group exhibitions in galleries across England, Spain, Italy, and Korea over the past two years.
