Ingimar Einarsson: Multidisciplinary Contemporary Art and Photography

Ingimar Einarsson is a multidisciplinary artist and designer born in Reykjavik, Iceland, and currently based in London. He graduated from Chelsea College of Art and Design in 2011 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and has since developed a practice that bridges fine art, photography, and creative design. His early work gained significant recognition through The Capital Series (2011-2016), a comprehensive project involving photographic montages of architecture from 52 European capitals. This series demonstrated his unique ability to deconstruct and reassemble urban forms into rhythmic, abstract collages that challenge traditional perspectives of the built environment. Over the years, the studio practice of Ingimar Einarsson has expanded to include drawings, photographic prints, rugs, and sculptures. He is notably recognized for his signature rug designs, such as the Crystal collection created in collaboration with Moooi Carpets, which are available worldwide. His artistic language frequently features geometric shapes and intricate patterns, inviting viewers to explore subjective interpretations of abstract forms.
