Jacqueline Ferrante: Visual Artist Exploring Nature and Memory
Jacqueline Ferrante is a visual artist whose creative practice is intertwined with the environments of New York and Italy. Her artistic approach is defined by a profound connection to the textures of the natural world, which she translates into site-specific imprints of overlooked and forgotten surfaces. By employing locally sourced raw pigments derived from plants, rocks, soil, and wine, she bridges the gap between the material landscape and the canvas. This exploration of place and memory is central to her work, as seen in her solo exhibitions 'URBAN SKIN' and 'Tracce di storia,' where she investigates architectural and cultural history. Ferrante was born and raised on Long Island, NY, and earned her degree in Art and Theater from Northeastern University. Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States and Europe, and she has completed residencies in New York, Ireland, and Italy. Her work is also included in The Haemimont Foundation collection, with locations in New York and Sofia, Bulgaria.
