Margaux Corda Photographic Artist and Visual Art Director
Margaux Corda is a photographer and art director based between Paris and Lausanne. A graduate of the prestigious ECAL (École cantonale d’art de Lausanne) with a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication, she has developed a unique practice that sits at the intersection of personal exploration and commissioned excellence. Her work is deeply rooted in the themes of identity, beauty, and heritage, specifically looking at how these concepts are constructed and perceived within Western society. As a queer artist, Margaux Corda uses her photographic language to interrogate contemporary gender symbols and the social structures that influence them. Her imagery often delves into historical and familial legacies, attempting to deconstruct inherited memories and expectations to reclaim them on her own terms. Through her diverse projects, she maintains a cohesive visual thread that has been showcased in numerous international exhibitions, including at Photo Elysée, Festival Images Vevey, and the Queer Festival Heidelberg. Her professional journey includes collaborations with institutions like Nike and Gaze Magazine, as well as recognition as a finalist for various photography prizes such as the Prix Picto de la Photographie de Mode. Margaux Corda’s art serves as a space for overlapping themes to evolve, creating a dialogue between the viewer and the complex layers of human experience and representation.
