Marien Singbo: 3D Artist, Animator, and Visual Storyteller

Marien Singbo is a Stockholm-based 3D artist, animator, and storyteller of Swedish and Congolese heritage. He describes his creative practice as navigating between the roles of artisan and muse, combining pure artistic creation with functional design solutions. Marien Singbo specializes in bespoke 3D experiences, with a particular focus on the development of original 3D characters and visual concepts for animated storytelling. His professional journey includes a degree in Visual Communication from Linnaeus University and specialized training in Motion Creative at Hyper Island. Marien Singbo has built a diverse portfolio including commercial advertisements, short films, and collaborative speculative design projects. Notable works include 'The Negro Space Program', a short film exploring ancestral journeys through space-time, and 'IN/Lab Schibsted', where he helped visualize future news experiences. His technical proficiency covers the entire 3D production pipeline, including modeling, animation, rigging, texturing, lighting, and rendering, utilizing industry-standard tools such as Cinema 4D, Redshift, and Substance Painter. In addition to his creative work, Marien Singbo has contributed to the creative community as a lecturer at Berghs School of Communication and Hyper Island. Currently working as a freelance artist, his mission is to produce visuals that inform, educate, and inspire through compelling visual narratives.
