Marta Wgliska is a Polish interdisciplinary artist, educator, and researcher whose practice is deeply rooted in the exploration of the natural environment and human-nature relationships. Based in Pozna, she is a graduate of the University of Arts in Pozna, where she earned degrees in Painting and Intermedia. Her artistic approach is characterized by a research-based methodology, often involving field studies and travel to document environmental processes, biological structures, and geological formations. Through various media including painting, drawing, installation, and experimental film, Marta Wgliska investigates the intersections of biology, mythology, and ecology, creating a unique visual language that captures both the micro and macrocosm of the world. Marta Wgliska has received numerous prestigious awards and scholarships, including the Darmasiswa scholarship from the Indonesian government and multiple grants from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Her work has been showcased in significant solo and group exhibitions internationally, in countries such as Indonesia, Switzerland, and Poland. Beyond her studio work, she is the founder of the Kobalt Migrating Platform and co-founder of Galeria Silverado, demonstrating her commitment to cultural animation and education. Her art serves as a sensory bridge, encouraging a deeper understanding of our changing reality and the delicate balance of the ecosystems we inhabit.
