Policarpo Ribeiro — visual artist exploring painting, assemblage, and mixed media.
Policarpo Ribeiro is a visual artist based in Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil, whose practice unfolds between painting, assemblage, and mixed media, often incorporating found objects, recycled materials, and tactile surfaces to construct poetic visual narratives rooted in memory, spirituality, and urban experience. Working at the intersection of contemporary art and maker culture, Policarpo Ribeiro explores texture, color, and material experimentation as a way to investigate themes such as time, fragility, the sacred in everyday life, and the transformation of ordinary elements into symbolic presences, creating works that invite slow observation and contemplative immersion. Alongside his studio practice, Policarpo Ribeiro develops educational and collaborative projects with schools, cultural spaces, and independent initiatives, designing workshops, learning trails, and STEAM-based experiences that connect artistic processes, technology, and hands-on experimentation, fostering creative autonomy and critical thinking in different audiences. With experience in exhibition making, artistic direction, and visual communication for cultural projects, he also contributes as a consultant and educator in the conception of exhibitions, educational programs, and art–technology laboratories, offering services such as project development, visual narratives for displays, participatory installations, and tailor-made workshops that align conceptual depth with accessible, engaging experiences for diverse publics.
