Sílvia Matias is a highly acclaimed Portuguese creative and graphic designer who has established a significant presence in the international design landscape. Based in Lisbon, she is the founder of NON—OFF Studio, a creative office dedicated to crafting new visual languages at the intersection of design and culture. Her professional journey is marked by collaborations with world-renowned studios such as Fabrica Research Center, Folch, Vhils Studio, and Pentagram. Sílvia Matias has been recognized twice by the Type Directors Club of New York, receiving certifications in 2022 and 2024, and was nominated as one of the best Portuguese designers in 2023. Beyond her studio practice, Sílvia Matias serves as a Guest Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, contributing to the education of the next generation of designers. She is also a co-founder of the Women Makers program in Milan, reflecting her commitment to diversity and leadership within the creative industries.
