Talacha Architecture and Design Studio
Talacha is a multidisciplinary architecture and design studio founded by Erik Martínez, AIA, NCARB. Based in Mexico City and Brooklyn, the studio focuses on the intersection of material sensitivity and technological innovation. Talacha designs a wide range of projects, from large-scale buildings and interior spaces to custom furniture and functional objects. Their philosophy centers on creating sustainable, aesthetic solutions that enhance human interaction and performance. The studio’s global vision is informed by work across Mexico, the United States, and Europe, emphasizing environmental efficiency and meaningful form. Key projects include the headquarters for the Latin American Confederation of Customs Agents (CLAA) in Mexico City, which showcases their ability to blend warm materials like wood and terracotta with modern office functionality. Talacha also participates in international competitions and exhibitions, such as the Tallinn Architecture Biennale and the Abierto Mexicano de Diseño. With a team led by Martínez and Design Director Patrick Hamon, the studio continues to push boundaries in architecture, product design, and spatial installations, delivering purposeful designs that connect human comfort with high-performance environments.
