Ankita Kashyap: Contemporary Artist Specializing in Mixed Media and Collage

Ankita Kashyap is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice encompasses collage, paper sculpture, and material-driven installations. Born in India in 1996 and currently based between London and India, Kashyap’s work is characterized by a deep exploration of materiality and critical theory. She holds an MFA and BFA in Painting from Banaras Hindu University and is currently pursuing an MA in Contemporary Art Practice at the Royal College of Art in London. Her artistic journey is marked by a transition from traditional painting to experimental, tactile forms. Kashyap has participated in numerous prestigious exhibitions, including the London Design Festival and shows at the RCA. Her professional background includes significant awards such as the Lalit Kala Akademi Scholarship and the State Lalit Kala Akademi Award. Through her portfolio, she demonstrates a unique ability to weave together critical analysis with physical creation, resulting in installations that challenge spatial and conceptual boundaries. Her practice is also informed by extensive workshop participation in areas ranging from Buddhist theory of images to fragrance creation, adding layers of sensory and intellectual depth to her artistic output.
