Antenna supporting artists and writers through creative resources

Antenna is a multi-platform arts organization based in New Orleans, Louisiana, dedicated to creating a sustainable and equitable environment for artists and writers. Founded to support the creative ecosystem of the Gulf South, Antenna operates several key programs that provide critical infrastructure for creative professionals. At the heart of its operations is Paper Machine, a 5,000-square-foot center in the Lower 9th Ward focused on artist- and writer-driven publishing. This facility offers a wide range of printmaking technologies, including letterpress, risograph, and digital printing, alongside a binding studio. Antenna also administers the Platforms Fund, a regional regranting initiative in partnership with the Andy Warhol Foundation, which provides financial assistance to independent artist-centered projects. Through its gallery spaces and residency programs, such as the Paper Machine Residency, Antenna facilitates unique exhibition and production opportunities that connect local talent with broader networks. The organization serves as a cornerstone for the regional cultural landscape, championing innovative artistic commissions and fostering community engagement through workshops, artist talks, and collaborative public projects.
