Apparan Contemporary Street Artist and Mural Specialist
Apparan is a distinguished multidisciplinary street artist, muralist, and educator based in East London, originally hailing from the Canary Islands. Her creative practice is deeply rooted in social advocacy, with a particular focus on gender equality, environment, and female empowerment. Apparan is widely recognized for her signature murals that often feature women with powerful features and flowing, colorful curly hair, integrating surrealist elements and positive messaging with intricate line work and vibrant color palettes. Beyond her individual art practice, Apparan is a significant figure in the urban art community. She is the founder and curator of the London International Paste-up Festival (LIPF), an event dedicated to the art of large-scale collage and paste-up installations featuring artists from across the globe. Additionally, she is a co-founder of Art House Project London, where she curates exhibitions that bridge the gap between underground art and house music. As a member of the WOM Collective and an experienced educator, she leads workshops at prestigious venues like the Saatchi Gallery, fostering creativity in others. Her work has been commissioned by various brands and organizations, and her exhibition 'Faces & Forces' showcased her ability to translate human stories into interpretive portraits. Apparan continues to shape the visual landscape of London through her murals, prints, and collaborative community projects.
