Büşra Aydagün: Visual Artist Specializing in Site-Specific Contemporary Art
Büşra Aydagün is a Turkish visual artist based in the village of Alçıtepe, located in the Eceabat district of Çanakkale. She graduated from the Department of Painting at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University in 2021 and has since developed a sophisticated, transdisciplinary practice. Her work seamlessly integrates diverse mediums including painting, installation, performance, video, collage, and archival research. Büşra Aydagün is particularly known for her site-specific works and nature-based production strategies, which often reflect her surroundings and cultural heritage. Her portfolio includes notable projects such as Earth Carpet, Migration Route, and the Root Carpet Exhibition, showcasing her ability to blend physical materials with conceptual depth. In addition to her solo practice, she is the founder and director of Kirte School, an artist-in-residence program established in 2023 to foster alternative artistic models and community engagement.
