Daniel Lavrano's creative work

Daniel Lavrano | Branding, UX-UI and Editorial Designer

I’m Italian (Milan) I am a designer with 9 years of experience in graphic design and 4 years in UX/UI design. I work on branding, digital experiences, and web-based projects, with a constant focus on clarity, structure, and identity. My approach always starts from a fundamental question: what does a project need to communicate, and why. For this reason, I see design not as a purely aesthetic exercise, but as a system to be built, organized, and made coherent over time. Throughout my professional path, I have worked on websites, apps, digital platforms, and editorial projects, sometimes within multidisciplinary teams and other times as the sole design lead. I value dialogue and collaboration, but I maintain a critical and independent mindset: I prefer reasoned, well-founded solutions—even when they go against conventions—over trend-driven choices with no real purpose. Alongside my professional work, I develop a personal artistic research practice based on the modulation of geometry through lines and points. This method did not originate from the conscious application of a pre-existing mathematical model, but from an intuitive process that gradually became structured and refined. Grids, matrices, and repetition function as tools to generate continuous visual fields rather than closed forms. The research is process-oriented rather than meaning-driven, exploring visual language as an open system. This work has been presented in exhibitions and through collaborations with magazines and sector-focused platforms, both nationally and internationally.
