Qi Qi: Award-Winning Motion Designer and 3D Animator
Qi Qi is a motion designer and 3D animator whose work explores the intersection of language, visual communication, and cinematic storytelling. Currently pursuing an MFA in Motion Media Design at SCAD, Qi Qi brings a unique perspective to visual narratives, informed by a prior background teaching at Princeton University. This academic foundation in communication transitions into a design practice where movement, light, and texture serve as a universal language. Throughout a burgeoning career, Qi Qi has collaborated with high-profile brands and studios such as Apple, David Yurman, JennAir, Sarofsky, and Flavor. The portfolio showcases a mastery of tools like Cinema 4D, Adobe Illustrator, and After Effects to produce projects that vary from immersive title sequences to detailed visual development. Notable works include The Nature System, Submerged Revenge, and Curdled Confessions, which have earned prestigious industry accolades. Qi Qi’s excellence in the field is evidenced by a significant collection of awards, including a Red Dot Award, a Communication Arts Winner distinction, and a Telly Award Silver. Furthermore, Qi Qi was recognized as a finalist for the 2025 Rookie of the Year and received merit honors from The Young Ones ADC.
