Eutopia Art Residency: International Artist Residencies and Cultural Programs

Eutopia Art Residency is a non-profit organization in Greece dedicated to fostering creativity, intercultural exchange, and artistic expression through specialized artist residency programs. Established in 2007 as an art gallery initiative, it evolved into a formal non-profit focusing on organizing residency opportunities that highlight the concept of creation and international cooperation. Based in the historic, amphitheatrically built city of Kavala, the residency offers unique environments like the 'Sea & Urbanism' program, which blends urban cultural activity with the natural beauty of the Mediterranean. The organization provides harmonious living and working spaces designed to encourage collaboration, diversity, and artistic experimentation for creators worldwide. Beyond Kavala, Eutopia Art Residency manages projects across Greece, including the Meteora Ceramics Symposium and initiatives in Syros and the Small Cyclades. These programs are open to artists, architects, writers, musicians, and curators regardless of background. By collaborating with renowned Greek artists and academic institutions, the residency offers participants support in exploring local society, gastronomy, and cultural heritage. Each program typically culminates in a group exhibition or community event, providing a platform for artists to showcase work developed during their stay. Under the leadership of Alexandros Lazaridis and Erasmia Meimaridou, Eutopia Art Residency continues to serve as a bridge of communication for over 220 international artists, ensuring ethical working conditions and a supportive atmosphere for professional and personal growth.
