Guadalupe Plaza Petersen: Contemporary Fine Art Photography Portfolio

Guadalupe Plaza Petersen is an Argentine-Spanish visual artist and photographer whose practice is deeply rooted in the exploration of landscape, materiality, and the passage of time. Based in Barcelona, Spain, she has established an international career with work that has been exhibited in prestigious venues such as The Photographers' Gallery in London and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Salta, Argentina. Her artistic journey involves a meticulous study of light, form, and texture, which she uses to transform ordinary scenes into evocative visual narratives. Among her most significant bodies of work is the series Muro de Adobe, where she examines the structural and cultural significance of earth-based architecture. This project, along with others like Oasis and Retorno al Paraíso, addresses the disconnection between humanity and the environment, particularly within the context of the Anthropocene. Guadalupe Plaza Petersen also works with video art and installation, expanding her narrative reach. Her training includes a Master of Visual Arts from Indonesia and scholarships from the National Endowment for the Arts in Argentina.
