Olga Evenden's creative work

Olga Evenden: Irish Abstract Painter, Illustrator & Educator

Olga Evenden is an Irish contemporary visual artist and educator based in Dublin, Ireland. Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, her practice explores light, shadow, tension and stillness through layered abstraction. Each piece evolves through an intuitive process of building, obscuring and refining — surfaces constructed over multiple sessions where colour density, edge control and subtle shifts in tone create depth and atmosphere. Rooted in a philosophy of creative honesty, Olga’s work embraces discomfort as a catalyst for resolution; the most compelling outcomes often emerge when a painting feels uncertain. Her collections, including Penumbra and limited-edition print releases, reflect a refined, contemporary aesthetic suited to modern interiors. Alongside her studio practice, Olga is an experienced art and design educator teaching Drawing and Visual Communication at further education level. She brings industry insight into both her artwork and mentoring, supporting emerging creatives in developing confident, concept-driven portfolios. Services include original paintings, limited-edition fine art prints, commissions, collaborative projects, artist talks, and educational workshops. Through both her art and teaching, Olga Evenden is committed to thoughtful process, material sensitivity and work that rewards sustained looking.
