FEDERICA PATERA + ANDREA SBRA PEREGO: Contemporary Art and Verbal Research

FEDERICA PATERA + ANDREA SBRA PEREGO represent a profound artistic collaboration that officially began in 2017 with the RAR project. Based between Turin, Milan, and New York City, the duo consists of Federica Patera and Andrea Sbra Perego, who combine their distinct backgrounds to create a confluence of literature and visual art. Their practice is deeply rooted in investigating verbal roots, cosmogony, and the relationship between humanity and its environment. Andrea Sbra Perego brings a background in painting, photography, and sculpture, focusing on the interaction between individuals and urban spaces. Federica Patera focuses her research on translation, eternity, and the construction of reality through universal language. Together, FEDERICA PATERA + ANDREA SBRA PEREGO produce multi-disciplinary works ranging from foil stamping on cotton canvas to intricate installations using wool threads and steel wire. Key series like the Roots Project and Paesaggio Immaginale demonstrate their interest in the analogies of literature and the structural power of words. FEDERICA PATERA + ANDREA SBRA PEREGO have exhibited their work internationally in galleries and art fairs, including Raffaella De Chirico Contemporary Art and the World Textile Biennale. In addition to their creative practice, they founded the DRIM Contemporary Art Ground in Turin, fostering the work of emerging national and international artists through curated exhibitions.
