Plas Bodfa: A Multi-disciplinary Creative Hub and Residency Space
Plas Bodfa is an evolving project space and creative hub located in Llangoed on the Isle of Anglesey, Wales. Housed in a century-old manor house with a rich history, Plas Bodfa serves as a focal point for contemporary art, experimental sound projects, and collaborative cultural initiatives. Managed as a Community Interest Company (CIC), the organization provides a unique environment for artists, researchers, and makers through its residency programs and specialized facilities, including the Arsyllfa Busby-Braden Observatory. The programming at Plas Bodfa is multi-disciplinary, ranging from large-scale group exhibitions to site-specific installations and community-driven workshops. Key projects such as 'Sounds for an Empty House' and 'Utopias Bach' highlight the venue's dedication to sonic exploration and creative future-thinking. By facilitating an exchange between local Welsh culture and international artistic practices, Plas Bodfa acts as a catalyst for new creative work. The site also features managed gardens, a wildflower meadow, and an apple orchard, integrating environmental care with artistic production and public engagement.
