Siru Tuomisto's creative work

Siru Tuomisto Multidisciplinary Artist and Designer

Siru Tuomisto is a Finnish artist and designer whose creative practice is defined by nearly twenty years of international experience across cities like New York, Los Angeles, London, and Florence. Trained as an interior architect at UCLA and having worked in the Hollywood film industry, Siru Tuomisto brings a unique problem-solving mindset and spatial sensitivity to her work. Her multidisciplinary studio, Studio Siru, operates at the intersection of interior design, creative direction, and fine art. A central pillar of her current work is the "Second Chance Art" project, where Siru Tuomisto breathes new life into discarded and overlooked materials. These assemblage sculptures are driven by a philosophy of play and sustainable aesthetics, transforming everyday objects into thought-provoking pieces that radiate optimism. Her work has been exhibited globally, including the Florence Biennale and Helsinki Design Week. Siru Tuomisto continues to explore the boundaries of material reimagination, creating meaningful outcomes for both private clients and commercial projects while advocating for a world where everything can be built and rebuilt with intention.
