Studio Digonnet Poetic Sculptures and Handcrafted Interior Architectures
Studio Digonnet is a multidisciplinary creative studio led by artists Séverine and Pierre Digonnet. Based in Amiens, France, the studio focuses on the creation of what they describe as interior architectures—artistic pieces that bridge the gap between sculpture and functional object. With a background of ten years in graphic design, the duo transitioned in 2016 to physical craftsmanship, training in ceramics and cabinetmaking to bring their graphic research into three-dimensional forms. Their work encompasses a diverse range of items including vases, sculptures designed to be posed or suspended, and intricate mural works. Studio Digonnet draws inspiration from urban environments, translating cadastral plans, building silhouettes, and urban routes into poetic and joyful ceramic forms. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted, often using stoneware and traditional modeling techniques such as plaque and estampage. The studio’s aesthetic is characterized by minimalist yet expressive shapes that invite personal interpretation and provide a sense of emotional enrichment. In addition to their creative production, they offer workshops in drawing and ceramics, sharing their expertise in clay modeling with the local community. By combining precision with an exploratory approach to materials, Studio Digonnet creates distinctive objects of desire that transform contemporary living spaces through a unique blend of art and architecture.
