Josh Hash's creative work

Joshua Hashemzadeh | Contemporary Artist and Curator at Studio Hash

Joshua Hashemzadeh is a multidisciplinary artist and curator based in Studio City, Los Angeles, where he operates his creative practice under the moniker Studio Hash. A first-generation Persian/Swiss American and alumnus of the San Francisco Art Institute, Hashemzadeh centers his work on themes of memory, representation, and community. His artistic output ranges from fine art and painting to jewelry design and collectible objects. He is particularly recognized for his Reliquary Meme project, a series of diorama-like 3D works constructed from vintage postcards, resin, and acrylic paint that reimagine traditional landscape motifs. With a significant background in curation, including roles as a gallery director in Culver City, he has organized international residencies and museum exhibitions. His practice also extends into digital media and grass-roots community building, focusing on creating accessible connections between art and daily life through functional objects like custom rings and ashtrays. Joshua Hashemzadeh continues to explore the intersection of art and life through his Studio City workspace, maintaining a diverse portfolio that includes exhibition archives and purchasable contemporary objects.
